Our Mission & Approach
Basic and Beyond is a traditional, morally-based collaborative education program with a mission to enhance your homeschool journey by providing an encouraging and supportive learning environment where every student can excel. Through fostering a love for learning, we aim to instill confidence, and inspire academic growth in every child that will last for a lifetime.
Our History
For nearly 30 years, Basic and Beyond has been supporting local homeschool families.
The original group was called Basic Training and was the construct of a local woman that had a huge heart for the homeschool community. Her vision and support allowed for many families to tackle the daunting task of educating their children with confidence.
After some years, the group was handed over to Pat Baer, who has maintained and grown Basic and Beyond Learning Center to be what it is today. Mrs. Baer has not only been the juggernaut behind BBLC, she also holds a place of honor and love in the hearts of countless parents and students. In fact, many of her grown students have children of their own enrolled in BBLC. Without Mrs. Baer's dedication, love, and hard work, BBLC would not be the solid foundation of support that it is today.
